I love to find sculpture in a landscape and wonder what "Capability" Brown would have thought of the additions to his landscaped grounds. He tried to perfect nature but I'm all for eye-catching additions and don't mind a little whimsy. The snowdrops were the stars though. No competition.
Yes, I know, you're convinced I can't have had an outing without setting foot in a cafe. Well, turn 180 degrees from the view above and there's an Orangery within which I ate delicious soup and a delightful cream tea. Jealous much?

I love snowdrops! They are truly heralds of spring. Charlecote park is a beautiful place. It's great to see organic sculpture alongside nature and Brown's wonderful gardens. Gertrude Jekyll is another favourite designer of mine. It would be fascinating to know their opinions on wicker balls! As for the cake - it is a ritual for me to visit every cafe and 'test' their wares.

I don't think I've visited a Jekyll garden but the pics online suggest I'd like it if I did! Am not much of a gardener myself - would go so far as to say I loathe gardening - but I love looking at a beautiful garden. Preferably from a table furnished with tea and cake...
Jealous, yes. Though, I would prefer espresso to tea.
